Oman are aiming for their third title in the final match with Iraq which will start on Thursday, 8 pm (Oman time).
Branko Ivankovic, Oman’s coach stated that the Red Warriors are looking to put an end to the record of losing against their host in the final.
Ivankovic stated in a pre-match press conference on Wednesday; “We want to end our record of losing against to the hosts in the final. I am proud of the players for reaching the final. It was not easy, they are eager to play in front of full stands. Iraq are very strong especially with the home fans support. Our goal is also to win. I expect it to be a difficult match, but I trust the players. The players are ready.”
The final of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup will take place in Basra International Stadium on Thursday.
