In terms of world travel rankings, the Sultanate of Oman has accomplished a major milestone. Oman is ranked 49th globally in the most recent Global Passport Power Rank 2023, reflecting the nation's efforts to improve its international status and provide its residents with more travel opportunities.

A prominent annual assessment that rates the reliability and usability of passports from all over the world is known as the Global Passport Power Rank. It is the only list of passports in the world that is updated in real-time, created and powered by Arton Capital.

An analysis of the number of visa-free or visa-on-arrival destinations that they can visit offers insightful information about the degree of travel freedom that people of various nations experience.

Omanis can now travel to a significant number of countries without requiring to get visas in advance, promoting international trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.

The mobility score for the Omani passport is 97. Passport holders from Oman can visit 40 nations without a visa for 14 to 180 days, depending on the travel regulations of the countries of destination. Albania, the Bahamas, Bahrain, Brunei, Ecuador, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, and Kazakhstan are a few of these countries.

The Sultanate of Oman has been gradually increasing its passport authority over the past few years as a result of its diplomatic efforts, bilateral agreements, and visa facilitation programs.

The index has taken into account 199 passports from 193 member states of the UN and six territories (the Vatican, Kosovo, Macao (SAR China), Macao (SAR China), Macao (SAR China), and Hong Kong (SAR China).
