Oman Implements Restriction on Truck Movement on Specific Roads

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has stated that during the holy month of Ramadan, restrictions on truck movement will be implemented in the Sultanate of Oman by the Directorate General of Traffic, in order to prevent traffic congestion on the roads.
The following roads have been declared off-limits for truck movement:
Main roads in Muscat Governorate
Al Dhakhiliyah Road (Muscat - Bidbid Bridge)
Al Batinah Highway (Muscat - Shinas)
Timings:
From 6 am to 9 am and 12 noon to 4 pm (Sunday - Thursday)
From 6 pm to 10 pm (Saturday)
To ensure the safety of both the truck drivers and other road users, the Royal Oman Police is encouraging all truck drivers to follow the above-mentioned instructions.
