The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced traffic changes for the upcoming fourth stage of the Salalah Tour, set for Wednesday, September 11, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM. Drivers should expect road closures during the race, with one lane shut down on dual carriageways and full closures on single-lane roads. These closures will only be in place for the time it takes for competitors to pass, minimizing disruption and allowing for a swift return to normal traffic.
Race Route and Affected Roads
The race will begin at Al-Mughassil, continue towards Raysut roundabout, then turn left at Al-Samaka roundabout. Racers will take a right at Mada’in Salalah roundabout, heading towards Razat roundabout, followed by a left turn at Maamoura roundabout. The route will then proceed to Tawi Atir intersection before returning to the Darbat Waterfalls intersection.
Quick Return to Normal Traffic
The ROP assures the public that traffic flow will be restored promptly after competitors have passed each section. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and allow extra travel time during the race.
