The second edition of the International Dates and Honey Exhibition is officially underway at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, starting Sunday, October 19.

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources in collaboration with Asaas Company, the event will run for several days, attracting visitors from across the region. The grand opening was sponsored by Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al-Habsi, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources.

This year's exhibition aims to boost the profile of dates and honey in Oman and the Gulf region by providing a platform for producers, manufacturers, and export companies to display their products. It's not just about showcasing the finest local produce; the event is also an opportunity to open new markets, foster investment, and enhance the competitiveness of dates and honey products on a global scale.

With a focus on technological advancements, the exhibition will highlight the latest innovations in the industry, covering everything from modern production techniques to quality control systems. Attendees can explore new product developments and learn how global expertise is shaping the future of the dates and honey industry.

The event has attracted participation from various small and medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, and institutions from both within and outside Oman, all eager to network and exchange knowledge.

Following the success of the first edition in October 2023, which saw participation from 13 countries and 150 companies, the exhibition continues to grow. Last year's lineup included not only date and honey producers but also companies specializing in packaging, food manufacturing, and export-import services.

The ongoing exhibition promises to be an enriching experience for industry insiders and enthusiasts alike, providing insight into the evolving world of dates and honey production.
