Oman is making waves in the GCC with its brand-new maternity leave insurance, officially starting today, July 19, 2024. This exciting update, announced by the Social Protection Fund in Muscat, promises to revolutionize workplace benefits for all Omanis.
Who's Covered?
Whether you're an Omani citizen or a non-Omani worker under any type of contract—temporary, training, or retired—you're eligible. This insurance covers maternity leave allowances, paternity leave, childcare leave, and job security allowances.
Pay It Forward
Employers will contribute 1% of your daily wage to the Maternity Leave Insurance fund. It's a small price for a big difference in your work-life balance!
