On Wednesday, some public transportation businesses, including taxi service providers, received warnings from the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT).
The Ministry communicated and made clear that they have recorded and observed some transportation companies for violating the terms of licenses they have been provided when transporting and delivering products.

The tweet by the MTCIT translates to say, "The Ministry monitored a number of violations by some public transport companies for regular/irregular passengers and taxi service providers by carrying out the transportation and delivery of goods, which violates the requirements for granting licenses granted to them; The Ministry invites them to abide by the requirements of the license granted in order to avoid any legal procedures."
It is worth highlighting that the government in recent times has granted permission to various taxi companies to operate services via a mobile application such as Otaxi.
