Oman Sees Rainfall Over a Number of Wilayats

Oman witnessed light to medium rains over a number of wilayats in South Al Batinah Governorate on Monday, April 10th, due to an air trough.
The rains concentrated on the villages of Stall, Al-Hajjar, Saniba, Shuh, Thaqb, Misfat Al-Sharqiyyin, Al-Muhsanna, and Al-Alia.
Rainfall of varying intensity was also witnessed in a number of villages in the Wilayat of Rustaq, concentrated on the villages of Al-Qabil, Al-Musanna, Al-Daffa, Yaqaa, Al-Rajlah, Al-Qarti, Al-Tayyib, Al-Zahir and Suni in Wadi Bani Ghafer.
The rainfall over the Wilayat of Rustaq was accompanied by winds and hail.
Heavy rains are expected to last until Tuesday afternoon.

Thundershower rain -associated with fresh wind- will continue tomorrow afternoon and cause wadis to flow over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining wilaiyats and over isolated parts of South Al Sharqiya, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.
On Sunday, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued a thunderstorm warning, advising the public to be cautious during rainfall and thundershowers, and warned people against crossing running wadis.
The public was advised to avoid low-lying areas.
