Oman will host the first Middle East Space Conference on January 8, 2024, to address critical challenges and opportunities in the space sector in the region.

The space conference will address financing, market trends, satellite communications, and Earth observation.

Over 350 global space experts are set to attend the conference, including senior executives from both governmental and private sectors.

The event will be organized by the Omani Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) in collaboration with Euroconsult, a Paris-based consulting company that specializes in the space and satellite sector. 

His Excellency Dr Ali bin Amer al Shidhani, Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology in MTCIT, said Oman seeks to fortify its stance in the regional and global space sectors.
