Number of tourists arriving to Oman is expected to grow by 23.5 percent this year, Fitch Solutions predicted.

The Sultanate of Oman is forecasted to receive 3.6 million visitors by the end of 2023, according to the fourth quarter forecast for 2023 published by BMI, an economic solutions company connected to Fitch Solutions.
By 2040, the Omani Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) hopes to draw 11 million tourists yearly.
The plan calls for launching fresh tourist and heritage initiatives that might help increase the total amount of investments made in the industry.
Over the Middle East during the second quarter of 2023, the Sultanate of Oman experienced a growth rate in the tourist industry of 31 percent, outpacing Jordan's 7 percent growth and the United Arab Emirates' growth of 29 percent.
