Oman's Ministry of Labor has stated that registering for employment contracts will not affect private-sector employees' eligibility for public-sector jobs.

The Ministry shared how private sector employees are refraining from registering employment contracts because they believe they will not be able to apply for public sector jobs after that.

The Ministry has clarified that the public sector jobs are open to everyone including private sector employees.

Registration for Employment Contracts

Private-sector employees must register for employment contracts to protect the rights of the employer and employees.

Registering for employment contracts will also add the employees' service to the workforce register, which will add to the employees' work experience and help them pursue better opportunities.
