The Oman film 'Al Darrooj' won the Best Screenplay Award at the Cinemakinah Days festival in Tunisia.
The film won the award out of 22 films from 16 countries including Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and many others.
Cinemakinah Days
The fourth edition of the Cinemakinah Days took place at the House of Culture in El Moknine in Tunisia.
Alongside the film competition, the festival also featured special screenings in solidarity with Palestine.
This segment included the screenings of the cartoon film 'Shireen' and the historical drama film 'Farha'.
'Al Darrooj'
This Omani film was screened at more than 40 festivals and won numerous accolades including:
- Jury Award from the Digital Portal Festival in Algeria
- Best Screenplay Award from the Oulad Taima Film Festival in Morocco
- Best Actress Award from the Racoda Asian Film Festival in Egypt
'Al Darrooj' won four more awards at different Indian film festivals.
