The Omani Hajj mission embarked from the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Led by Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the delegation bid farewell at Muscat International Airport, marking the beginning of their sacred journey.
Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the mission, headed by Sultan bin Saeed Al Hinai, will proceed to their headquarters in Makkah. Their duties encompass serving pilgrims, overseeing their rituals, and ensuring their well-being throughout their stay in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
Comprising various delegations including fatwa and religious guidance, administrative and financial, medical, and media teams, the mission is well-prepared to facilitate a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for the pilgrims.
In a recent press conference, the head of the Omani Hajj mission highlighted ongoing preparations for Mina and Arafat camps, emphasizing enhancements to provide a conducive environment for performing rituals and to address any challenges pilgrims may encounter.
This year, the Sultanate of Oman's pilgrimage contingent comprises 14,000 individuals, including 13,500 Omanis, along with Arab residents and expatriates. Additionally, 31 Hajj companies are entrusted with facilitating the pilgrimage journey for the pilgrims.
As the Omani Hajj mission embarks on this significant journey, their commitment to serving pilgrims reflects the Sultanate's dedication to ensuring a seamless and spiritually rewarding Hajj experience for all participants.
