Muscat to Host Its First Flower Festival This December

The 12th edition of the Omani Song Festival is ready to roll, taking place from August 11 to 14 at the Al Marooj Theatre in Salalah. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in collaboration with the Office of the Governor of Dhofar, has finalized all preparations for the event.

Celebrating Omani Talent

The festival is designed to spotlight and inspire Omani singing talent, offering a platform for artists to showcase their skills and creativity. It also aims to boost cooperation between government bodies and the private sector to enhance the country’s cultural and artistic scene.

Meet the Finalists

This year, 33 contestants entered the competition, with six making it to the final round. The finalists competing for the top three spots are Omar al Hasani, Abdul Aziz bin Ajeeb bin Arfa Bait Kalib, Hamed Suhail, Nahla al Mukhainiya, Aisha bint Hafez, and Saif al Gharabi.

A Return After Seven Years

H E Sayyid Saeed bin Sultan al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Culture and Chairman of the Festival’s Main Committee, highlighted the festival's return after a seven-year break. “Hosting the festival in Dhofar during the khareef season underscores the region’s unique appeal,” he said.
