Oman's Airforce Transports Al Halaniyat Residents Back Home After Tej

The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) operated a number of flights on Oct. 25 to transport the residents of the Al Halaniyat Islands back to their homes after the evacuation mission that took place because of Cyclone Tej.
The RAFO had operated six sorties to airlift 354 residents of the islands to safety as part of the evacuation mission in the Dhofar Governate.
However, Oman Meteorology forecasted heavy rain and thunderstorms on Thursday, Oct. 26 across the Sultanate, so the people of Oman are not rid of dreary weather yet!
The meteorology department forecasted heavy rain in the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahira, South Al Batinah, Muscat, Al Dakhylia, North Al Sharqiya, and South Al Sharqiya.
The heaviest rainfall was forecasted for the Hajar Mountains and the adjacent areas, extending to the coast of the Oman Sea,
The Civil Aviation Authority has advised people in Oman to take all necessary precautions during this weather.
They have also advised people not to cross any wadis and to avoid low-lying areas and sailing.
