The Ruwi Clock Tower in Muscat was the heart of a grand Ramadan gathering on March 14, as thousands of people came together for Oman’s biggest community iftar.

Hosted by the Deccani Wing of the Indian Social Club Oman (ISC), this annual tradition has been bringing people from all walks of life together for over 20 years—a true testament to the spirit of generosity and unity during the holy month.

“The iftar welcomed people from diverse backgrounds, reinforcing the values of brotherhood and togetherness,” said Suhail Khan, Head of the Iftar Organising Committee. He highlighted the efforts of volunteers who helped distribute meals and ensure the event’s smooth execution.

Attendees broke their fast with traditional Hyderabadi delicacies, followed by congregational prayers, making it more than just a shared meal—it was a celebration of Ramadan’s core values. The event also encouraged charitable giving, strengthening the sense of community and social responsibility.

As the sun set over Muscat, the Ruwi Clock Tower wasn’t just a landmark—it was a symbol of unity, compassion, and the true essence of Ramadan.
