The Oscar-nominated Palestinian film 'No Other Land' won the documentary prize at the 2025 Independent Spirit Awards.

The Spirit Awards were hosted in California on Saturday, Feb. 22. Four Israeli and Palestinian filmmakers: activists Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham, and Rachel Szor have directed 'No Other Land'.

The film follows the story of a young Palestinian activist Adra in Masafer Yatta in the West Bank who fights against the expulsion of his community by Israeli forces.

Since childhood, Adra has documented the demolition of homes and expulsion of Palestinians in the West Bank.

The Academy Awards have nominated 'No Other Land' for the 'Best Documentary Feature Film' and the awards will be announced at the ceremony on Mar. 3.
