The Kingdom's Hajj and Umrah Minister, Tawfiq al-Rabiah, announced on Thursday that approximately 1.2 million pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj rituals.

International Awareness Campaign

Al-Rabiah addressed a press conference on Hajj, emphasizing Saudi Arabia's efforts to combat fake Hajj campaigns through an international awareness campaign.

Upgraded Facilities

The minister highlighted enhancements to facilities at the Holy Sites, including the installation of overhead umbrellas that cool the air with mist, courtesy of the world's largest air cooling station. These improvements aim to enhance the comfort of pilgrims during their journey.

Improved Access

Efforts to improve access to pilgrimage sites include enhancements in escalator efficiency, making it easier for pilgrims to reach locations where they perform rituals such as the symbolic stoning of pillars representing the devil.

These measures reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to ensuring the safety, comfort, and efficiency of the Hajj pilgrimage, one of the most significant religious observances in Islam.
