The cost of complete insurance for international Umrah performers will reduce from SR235 to SR87, a 63 percent decrease, commencing on January 10, 2023, according to a statement from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Those traveling to Umrah from outside of Saudi Arabia are protected by a single insurance policy for Umrah. It is covered as part of the visa application process before travel and includes treatment, admission, hospitalization, emergency dental care, injuries from car accidents, dialysis situations, and internal and external medical evacuation. It also covers pregnancy and emergency childbirth.
Moreover, it addresses basic situations such as unintentional total and permanent handicaps, fatalities, and fatalities brought on by natural catastrophes, transferring the deceased person's body to his homeland, and blood money granted by a court order. It also offers provisions for compensation for flight cancellations and delays.
According to the Ministry, the insurance's coverage is only valid for travel within Saudi Arabia and lasts for a total of 90 days beginning on the day of entry into the country. Umrah performers can access their insurance policy, check its validity, and learn about service providers by going to the website of Rahman's Comprehensive Insurance Program for Guests.
