Pictures: Monster Fog Engulfs UAE's Skyline
Monster fog covered the Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman skyline for the second day in a row in the UAE.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), issued a red alert and warned motorists: “A chance of fog formation with deterioration of horizontal visibility over most of internal and coastal areas until 9.00 am, today”.
It will be rather hot during daytime across the country according to The NCM, however, the forecast said the skies will be partly cloudy skies while some clouds will appear Eastward by afternoon.
The NCM added: “Light to moderate winds, freshening at times will cause blowing dust and sand at a speed of 10 – 20, reaching 30 km/hr.”
Police has also warned UAE motorists to be careful and drive slow, as fog formation caused low visibility on roads across the country.
If you’re planning to go hiking on the weekend, get ready to sweat! humidity will reach up to 70-95 per cent in the internal areas, whereas in the mountainous regions it is expected to be 45-60 per cent.
The maximum temperature in the country is expected to be between 35 -39°C, and the lowest temperature is expected to be between 15-20°C.
In the coastal areas, temperature highs will be between 32-36°C, and 20-26°C in the mountainous regions.
Relative humidity is expected to increase by night and Friday morning, especially over coastal and internal areas, causing fog and mist formation.
