Private schools in Sharjah will have a three-day weekend following the announcement of the new workweek plan for government entities starting January 1, 2022 according to a Tweet from the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA).
SPEA added that more details will be released over the next few days while Friday, Saturday and Sunday will form the new weekend

Last week, Sharjah announced its decision to adopt a four-day workweek for its government entities from January next year.

The Executive Council of Sharjah said the changes are in line with the UAE government's recent announcement to follow shorter workweek to "boost productivity and improve work-life balance".
