Qatar GP 2024: Here Are the Sprint Qualifying Results
The sprint race is the last one of the 2024 F1 season and will take place on Saturday.
McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris secured pole position in the qualifying session at the Lusail International Circuit for the sprint race on Saturday, Nov. 30.
Norris was followed by Mercedes' George Russell in P2 and his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in P3.
The Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr. finished fourth and his teammate Charles Leclerc finished fifth.
Four-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen finished sixth while seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton finished seventh.
Alpine's Pierre Gasly finished eighth, Haas' Nico Hulkenberg finished ninth, and RB's Liam Lawson finished tenth.

During the qualifying session for the sprint race, Sergio Perez, Yuki Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, Zhou Guanyu, and Franco Colapintowere eliminated during SQ1.
In SQ2, Fernando Alonso, Alex Albon, Valtteri Bottas, Lance Stroll, and Kevin Magnussen were eliminated.
Norris secured pole position for the sprint race after his hopes for winning the driver's championship were dashed last weekend in Las Vegas after Max Verstappen secured the title for the fourth time in a row.
