Public Sector Working Hours
For employees within the civil administrative apparatus of the state, the standard working hours will be five continuous hours, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To add flexibility, heads of units can implement adjustable schedules, allowing work between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, depending on the unit’s operational needs and employee arrival and departure times.
In a move to support work-life balance, remote work will also be an option for eligible roles. However, a minimum of 50% of the workforce must remain physically present in the workplace to maintain essential services and operations.
Private Sector Working Hours
For the private sector, working hours for Muslim employees will be reduced to six hours per day, with a maximum of 30 hours per week. This reduction aligns with labor laws and aims to support employees' well-being during the fasting month.
