Oman's Royal Court of Affairs (RCA) has started using its first fleet of electric vehicles (EVs).

This step is part of a national initiative, which conforms to the national plan for achieving net-zero emissions.

The use of EVs is also part of Oman's plan to utilise clean energy in the transport sector.

This initiative is the start of an overall plan to transition to using EVs for various work requirements.

Using electric vehicles will have a positive impact on both the environment and society as the EVs help reduce carbon emissions and fuel combustion.

At the start of July 2023, Oman introduced various tax incentives and customs to promote the purchase of EVs to achieve net zero emissions in the transport sector.
