Oman’s Minister of Education, H.E. Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniya, has announced a change to the academic calendar with Ministerial Decision No 253/2024. This decision revises aspects of Ministerial Decision 152/2024, affecting both government and private schools across the country.

The major update involves the rescheduling of the first-semester exams for students in Grades 5 to 11, as well as those in General Education Diploma programs, special education, and adult education. According to the new timetable, exams will now start on January 15 and conclude by February 6, 2025.
Additionally, the second-semester exams have been adjusted, with dates now set between June 11 and July 10, 2025.
These changes aim to better align the academic schedule and ensure smooth transitions between terms.
