In a significant operation, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) successfully thwarted a drug smuggling attempt, leading to the arrest of four individuals.
The suspects, all of Asian nationality, were apprehended while attempting to smuggle approximately 100 kilograms of drugs into the Sultanate of Oman.
The operation was conducted by the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, with the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police taking the lead. Collaborating seamlessly with the Coast Guard Police, the authorities acted swiftly to intercept the illegal activity.
The seized contraband included 50 kilograms of crystal meth and 49 kilograms of hashish. The arrested individuals are now in custody, and legal procedures are underway to address the criminal activities.
