Royal Oman Police Prohibits Truck Traffic on Thursdays and Saturdays

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has prohibited truck traffic on a number of roads in various governorates on Thursdays and Saturdays within a certain time frame to avoid traffic congestion.
The ROP announced that truck movement is not permitted on Thursday and Saturday on the main roads of the Muscat Governorate, Al Dhakhiliyah Road (Muscat-Bidbid Bridge), and Al Batinah Highway (Muscat-Shinas).
Truck traffic is prohibited on the mentioned roads from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursdays, and from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
The ROP asked all truck drivers to follow the instructions for the safety of themselves, other drivers, and pedestrians.
