The citizens were airlifted from a mountainous area to the Wilayat of Dima W'attayeen by helicopter.
Several wilayats in the governorates of North and South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and parts of Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Batinah, and Al Dhahirah witnessed heavy to medium rains that led to flooding in valleys and reefs.
On Sunday, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) urged people to take care during thunderstorms and to take necessary precautions. This includes refraining from crossing valleys, avoiding low-lying areas, and staying away from the sea during the warning period.
