Oman’s low-cost carrier, SalamAir, has received approval from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to expand its international reach with flights to three new destinations: Armenia, Kenya, and Somalia. Starting this winter, SalamAir will make these exciting locations more accessible for travelers, enhancing connectivity and offering budget-friendly options for international flights.

Beginning December 28, 2024, SalamAir will operate weekly flights to Yerevan, Armenia’s vibrant capital. Known for its rich history, scenic landscapes, and welcoming culture, Yerevan has become an increasingly popular tourist destination. The new route offers travelers in Oman a convenient and affordable way to explore Armenia’s unique blend of ancient heritage and modern charm.

In January 2025, SalamAir will broaden its network to include Nairobi, Kenya, with flights scheduled twice weekly starting on January 15. Nairobi is celebrated for its dynamic city life and proximity to stunning national parks, making it an appealing destination for both business and leisure travelers. The addition of this route further supports SalamAir’s goal to connect travelers with diverse destinations across Africa.

Completing this trio of new routes, SalamAir will also launch twice-weekly flights to Mogadishu, Somalia, beginning January 16, 2025. This new connection aims to support the needs of business travelers and the Somali diaspora, providing a direct and economical travel option for those with ties to the region.

These new flights to Yerevan, Nairobi, and Mogadishu reflect SalamAir’s commitment to expanding affordable travel options in the Middle East and Africa. With each destination, the airline aims to offer a convenient travel experience tailored to the growing demand for accessible international flights.
