Saudi Arabia and Morocco signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of encouraging and developing cooperation in the field of tourism and coordinating efforts to achieve sustainable development of the tourism industry in both countries.
The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the 117th session of the Executive Council meeting of the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
The memorandum of understanding between the two countries will support efforts to achieve sustainable tourism, increase opportunities for training and knowledge sharing, and provide new opportunities for tourism investments.
Saudi Arabia is currently one of Morocco's largest trading partners in the Arab world, and in 2020 it pumped $26.6 million in the form of investments in the real estate, tourism, and agricultural sectors in Morocco.
