Saudi Holidays 2022
- Eid Al Fitr: From 2nd May 2022 - 5th May 2022 | Monday - Thursday ( Dates may vary on the official start of the holiday)
- Eid Al Adha: From 10th July 2022 - 14th July 2022 | Sunday - Thursday ( Dates may vary on the official start of the holiday)
- Saudi National Day: 23rd - September - 2022 | Friday
Ramadan working hours
In Saudi Arabia, a lot of people prepare beforehand for Ramadan, as this month is all about gatherings with families, companies, and different institutions, this month is all about spirituality and praying to Allah, fasting off food and water for a specific time which puts strain on the body, this is why a lot of sectors in Saudi Arabia changes their working hours, those changes officially start with the start of Ramadan:
- Ramadan 2022 starts on 11th April, and it might be on 12th April, depending on the lunar moon.
- For the private sector, and according to the Saudi Law, the working hours in Ramadan cannot go over 6 hours daily instead of 8 or 9 with 1 hour of break, and 36 hours weekly.
- For the public sector, the working hours will be divided into three sections:
- Section A: will start working at 9:30 Am and finish at 2:30 Pm.
- Section B: will begin working at 10:30 Am and finish at 3:30 Pm.
- Section C: will start working at 11:30 Am and finish at 4:30 Pm.
Eid Al-Fitr Holiday 2022
After the end of Ramadan, the month of worship and fasting for Muslims, comes Eid-Alfitr for people to relax and break their fast after a full month, visit families get gifts, and also go on trips all around the kingdom; this holiday starts after the end of Ramadan and remains for three days however usually Saudi government pushes that for a longer time for all people, so stay tuned till they officially decide the timings of the holiday for Eid Al-Fitr 2022.
Eid Al-Adha Holiday 2022
Eid ul Adha is the second of the Saudi Eid holidays as it comes immediately after the Hajj season, where Muslims tend to have special rituals like sacrificing animals to feed the poor and those in need.
Eid ul Adha 2021 holiday remains for three days plus Arafat day on July 19, 2021 – July 22, 2021, which the kingdom of Saudi Arabia will officially announce.
Saudi National Day holiday 2022
Saudi Arabia celebrates this day by renaming the kingdom to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the primary national day for the country foundings in 1932, Saudis have a yearly theme for the national day, and we will share that as soon as it is released, so stay tuned.
