Red Bull's Sergio Perez beat teammate Max Verstappen on Jeddah Circuit Street on Sunday, winning the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix 2023, which is the fifth victory of his Formula One Career.
Verstappen finished at P2, despite starting at P15, which was because of issues in qualifying. Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso took the podium place of P3.
At first, Alonso was demoted to P4 after he gained an additional 10-second penalty because his team failed to serve an earlier five-second penalty correctly in the pit lane, however, the Fédération Internationale l'Automobile (FIA) reverted their decision, putting Alonso back in P3. Earning this P3, Alonso marks his 100th career podium and he has become the sixth F1 driver to earn 100 F1 podiums.
Mercedes duo George Russel and Lewis Hamilton finished at P4 and P5, while Ferrari teammates Carlos Sainz Jr. and Charles Leclerc finished at P6 and P7.
