Malls in Doha are total social hubs, whereas malls everywhere are places to visit with a predetermined agenda so you can get in and out as quickly as possible.

Say goodbye to run-down food courts with soggy fries and hello to fantastic restaurants selling everything from Indian and Italian cuisine to Thai and Turkish cuisine.

Even if payday seems a long way off, window shopping is a national habit in Qatar, and malls provide a welcome respite from the summer heat when it arrives.

  • Al Hazm Mall

The name of this mall means "higher ground," and the designer brands available here will undoubtedly elevate your wardrobe. Although if you can't afford to buy anything, a visit just for the window-shopping experience is worthwhile. The architecture of the mall is truly stunning, having been created to resemble Milan's 19th-century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and we can't help but take pictures (or 20).

  • City Center Mall

City Center Mall, conveniently located in West Bay, is probably one of Doha's most famous shopping destinations. There are around 250 stores here, like Adidas, Bath & Body Works, H&M, Mango, and Tommy Hilfiger, among others. Additionally, because there is a Carrefour within, this is an excellent place to get your groceries.

  • Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City is one of Doha's largest malls, with over 500 businesses, so window shopping here is practically a workout. If you've recently relocated to the nation, this is the place to go for all your furniture needs, as it houses a large IKEA as well as Home Center, Pan Emirates, Pottery Barn, and West Elm. Brands like Bershka, Calvin Klein, Levi's, and Next all have locations here, as do department stores like Debenhams and Harvey Nichols. You won't get lost, though, because there's a helpful digital map you can download to assist you find your way about.

  • Dragon Mart

You can't go wrong with a trip to this Doha mall if you're searching for a bargain. Dragon Mart has everything you could possibly need, from clothes and shoes to homeware and cosmetics, and is an excellent way to furnish your apartment without breaking the bank. Trips here are similar to trips to China, but without the high cost and lengthy flight.

  • Ezdan Mall​​​​​​​

Although Doha has three Ezdan Malls, the one in Al Gharrafa is perhaps the most popular. You'll find Aldo, Bath & Body Works, and The Toy Store there, as well as a Carrefour for all your grocery needs. Although this mall isn't the largest in the area, it is serene and quiet, making for a good shopping experience.

  • Lagoona Mall

Another famous mall in Doha, this one is particularly popular among inhabitants of the nearby Zig Zag Towers and the surrounding area. The mall is very modern, with stores like Adidas and Tommy Hilfiger, as well as high-end labels like Armani Exchange and Chanel. Fifty-One East, a department store with all of the major brands, is also located here.

  • Mirqab Mall

Malls in other parts of the world aren't recognized for their architecture and design, but Doha is an exception, with some of the most stunning malls in the world. The glass ceiling at this location brings plenty of light in and highlights the beautiful design, giving the impression that you're shopping in Milan or Paris rather than Qatar. Apart from the aesthetics, the mall has a variety of stores to visit.
