Singapore's government has named an orchid flower after His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik after Oman's Sultan visited the Singapore Botanic Gardens during his official visit to the country.
The gesture emphasized the strength of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
His Majesty expressed his appreciation for Singapore's gesture.

It has been a tradition of more than 50 years in Singapore to name orchids after kings, presidents, leaders of states, and senior officials in the country's National Orchid Gardens.
HM Sultan Haitham's Official Visit to Singapore
HM Sultan Haitham arrived in Singapore on Wednesday, Dec. 13 for a three-day state visit.

The President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam hosted an official reception ceremony for HM Sultan Haitham at the Istana Palace.
Both leaders also had a bilateral meeting on Thursday, Dec. 14 at the Istana Palace.
