Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has granted Omani citizenship to 85 expatriates through Royal Decree No. 50/2024. This decree marks an important step in welcoming foreign nationals into the Omani community.

Citizenship Details
The newly granted citizens will enjoy the rights and privileges of Omani citizenship. However, there are some restrictions in place. They must not spend long periods outside the country during the first 10 years unless they have special permission from the Ministry of Interior.
Application Process
Expatriates interested in obtaining Omani citizenship can apply at the Ministry of Interior. The application process requires a fee of 600 Omani riyals. This allows candidates to begin their journey toward becoming part of the Omani society.
