The wife of Switzerland's President Dr. Alain Berset, Mrs. Muriel Zeender Berset toured the Muttrah Souq and the Royal Opera House of Oman during the couple's visit to the Sultanate.
At the traditional souq, Mrs. Muriel tried out various jewellery pieces and she was briefed on the various traditional artefacts on display.
The Swiss President's wife also visited the Royal Opera House of Oman.
She was briefed about the history of the venue and the architecture of the opera house, which is a blend of rich Omani and international architectural designs.

Dr. Berset and his wife visited the National Museum to learn about Omani heritage.
The couple toured the museum to see various collectables that shed light on the history of civilization in the Sultanate.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham and his wife, Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi hosted a dinner for the Swiss President and his wife at Al Alam Palace on Thursday, Nov. 30.
Various officials from Oman and Switzerland also attended the dinner.
President Dr. Alain Berset was on a two-day visit to Oman and left the Sultanate on Friday, Dec. 1.
