11th May 2022, Dubai, UAE: Chef Moha, one of the most celebrated Moroccan Chefs, will be

adding his own personal creative touch to Tagine’s traditional menu between Friday 13th – Friday 20th May. Guests can expect a few of his favourite dishes inspired by his mother’s recipes, which harmoniously blend tradition and innovation.

Offering a range of fresh and warm salads to start, the menu will include dishes such as Sweet Pink Onion with Raisins and Orange Blossom Water, Zaalouk of Aubergine, Taktouka, Zennane with Cumin, Serpentine of Vegetables with Kezbour Coulin Goat Cheese Briouate with Herbs, and Gambas in Djellaba.

To follow, guests will be whisked away on a gastronomic tour that has been influenced by Chef Moha’s international experience, and can indulge in a range of Pastillas, Soups and Tagines, accompanied by an elevated selection of couscous. Additional main courses include Lamb Shank Méchoui with Malaki Spices and Lobster Bisque, Tangia Marrakchia, Trid of Traditional Pigeon, and Lamb Chops. For dessert, diners can enjoy traditional Moroccan favourites with a twist, such as Rice with Milk, Pancakes with Saffron Apples, Shakshouka with Seasonal Fruits, and more.

Chef Moha is considered one of the greatest ambassadors for Moroccan cuisine around the world. Following his catering graduation and after fourteen years in Switzerland, he returned to his hometown, Marrakech, to open his own restaurant Dar Moha in the former Pierre Balmain’s Riad. His restaurant, located in the heart of the Medina, is recognized as a “must culinary experience” whilst visiting Morocco.

Moreover, he has participated in numerous international culinary events and catered to dignitaries and royalties such as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, alongside numerous sport and show biz personalities. Chef Moha is also recognized by well-known culinary publications such as the Gault & Millau guide, is the author of several leading culinary books, a “Master Chef Morocco” jury member, and can be seen on numerous television culinary programmes.

Tagine has provided diners with more than just a taste of beautiful Morocco for the last two decades. The experience at the famed Moroccan restaurant begins as soon guests enter the curved low wooden doors, where trickling water and rose petals set the tone for an evening of traditional Moroccan hospitality. The venue’s tobacco-coloured walls have been polished and plastered in the Moroccan tradition of Tadlekt, and its lanterns, carpets, and artefacts have been specially procured from around the region and adorn the restaurant’s series of moody arches and alcoves. To add to the ambience, guests can enjoy the sounds of classical musicians, akin to a traditional home in Marrakesh.

Tagine is open for dinner from Tuesday – Sunday between 7pm – 12am. For more information or to make a reservation, please call +971 4 399 9999 or email restaurants@oneandonlyroyalmirage.ae
