Everyone's favorite social media app TikTok recently launched group chat messaging. The feature allows up to 32 individuals to be part of the group and share videos.

The TikTok Group Chat creates a shared viewing experience with family, friends, or community. This new feature has brought on speculations that TikTok might take over the popular chat app WhatsApp because it certainly has upped TikTok's game compared to the beloved chat app.

With the group chat feature, TikTok users will also be able to utilize mute, blocking, and report tools in case the content shared on the group violates TikTok community guidelines.

TikTok will also limit the number of groups an individual can create and the number of times a message can be forwarded.

Group Chat is only available for individuals 18 years old and above, but teenagers (13-17 years old), along with everyone else, can be added to the group by their friends.

The teenager will not be able to become part of a group unless that group has one mutual friend as a member.

If a teenager creates a group, TikTok will require them to review and approve the members that join the group.
