Oman’s population in 2024 has reached 4.71 million, including around 2.21 million expats, showcasing the Sultanate’s reputation as a multicultural hub. Of the total population, 2.85 million are males, while 1.86 million are females, according to Global Media Insights (GMI).

Oman Population by Nationality 2024:
Among its diverse residents, expats make up a significant portion, with Indians leading the pack at 766,735 people. This strong presence reflects the longstanding economic and cultural ties between Oman and India.
Coming in second, the Bangladeshi community numbers 718,856, followed by 268,868 Pakistanis who round out the top three expatriate nationalities.
Egyptians and Filipinos also make their mark, with 46,970 and 45,213 residents, respectively. Other notable communities include Ugandans (20,886), Sri Lankans (20,003), Tanzanians (17,077), and Nepalis (16,580). Indonesians and Ethiopians further add to the mix, numbering 14,155 and 13,572, respectively.
In addition to these, 259,258 residents from various other nations contribute to Oman’s diverse demographic tapestry, reflecting the Sultanate's welcoming nature and global appeal.
