Tom Cruise has made more than $4.2 billion at the domestic box office but didn't have a film open to more than $100 million. Tom is on his way to achieving the biggest film open in his history (in terms of revenue), after the release of "Top Gun: Maverick" which is expected to make $150 million during its first days in America, overtaking "War of the Worlds," which snared $64 million with its opening in 2005.

It's also worth noting that the film got a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes once it hits theaters recently.
