UAE Implements Penalties for Organised Begging Offence

UAE Public Prosecution has issued a warning against conducting organized begging, with penalties to be implemented for those caught.
According to Article 476 of the Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021 on Promulgating Penal Code (Law of Crimes and Penalties), "whoever manages the organized begging offense committed by an organized group of two or more people" shall be sentenced to detention for a minimum term of six months and a minimum fine of AED100,000.

Additionally, they stated that anyone who brings someone into the country to beg on behalf of a group will face the same penalty.
