UAE Oil Prices to Rise in April

The Fuel Price Committee in the UAE has announced a rise in petrol prices from April 1 for a second month in a row.
The breakdown per litre is as follows:
• Super 98: Dh2.29 – up from Dh2.12 in March (a rise of 8 per cent)
• Special 95: Dh2.17 – up from Dh2.01 in March (a rise of 8 per cent)
• Diesel: Dh2.22 – up from Dh2.15 in March (a rise of 3 per cent).
In August 2015, oil prices were liberalised to allow them to move in line with the market, but due to COVID-19, they were held by Fuel Price Committee.

Prices were held for a year until they were adjusted in March 2021. The new prices in April will show a 20% rise from February.
In March, Super 98 petrol will cost Dh2.12 per litre, versus Dh1.91 in February; while Special 95 will cost Dh2.01 per litre, versus Dh1.80 in February. Diesel will cost Dh2.15 a litre in March, versus Dh2.01 in February.
