UAE's New 'Generation Schools' to be Free of Costs for 14K Students

UAE announced new school model that will offer education for free. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai took to twitter to announce that the the ‘Generation Schools’ model will target around 14,000 students.

"Generations schools will be launched with national curricula supervised by the school education institution, such as Arabic language and Islamic education, in addition to international curricula in science and mathematics supervised by highly qualified private educational institutions. The cost of the student will be fully covered by the government. A step will be followed by steps to develop our schools and education." said his Highness.

The Generation Schools will begin accepting students from academic year 2022-23, according to the Emirates Schools Establishment.The pilot project for the new school model will run for three years. It will cover pupils in cycle 1 (grades 1-4).
