South Africa defeated Australia in the semi-final match of the women's T20 World Cup on Thursday, Oct. 17 eight wickets and advanced to the finals of the tournament. 

South Africa decided to bowl first and limited Australia to 134 runs in 20 overs. Ayabonga Khaka secured two wickets, Marizanne Kapp secured one wicket, and Nonkululeko Mlaba secured one wicket. 

When South Africa came to bat, the team's Anneke Bosch secured 74 runs, Laura Wolvaardt secured 42 runs, and Tazmin Brits, secured 15 runs, which contributed to the team's overall score of 135 runs. 

Bosche was named the 'Player of the Match' and the final of the world cup is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 20.
