‘DIVA!’ Brings Italian Glamour to Oman’s National Museum

The National Museum of Oman, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Muscat, has unveiled ‘DIVA! Italian Glamour in Fashion Jewellery’, an exhibition celebrating the artistry and evolution of Italian fashion jewellery. Running until 9 March 2025, the showcase features over 100 unique pieces that reflect Italy’s rich heritage of craftsmanship and innovation.
Curated by Professor Alba Cappellieri of Politecnico di Milano, the exhibition traces the evolution of Italian jewellery from the 1950s to today, highlighting how art, culture, and technology have shaped its transformation.
During the grand opening, H.E. Pierluigi D’Elia, Italian Ambassador to Oman, expressed pride in this cultural exchange, stating that the exhibit embodies beauty, creativity, and the global influence of Italian design.
The exhibition, sponsored by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, offers visitors a chance to explore the history, elegance, and craftsmanship of Italian jewellery, further strengthening the artistic and cultural ties between Oman and Italy.
