Weather Forecast and Warnings

Authorities expect the tropical depression forming in the Arabian Sea to bring increased rainfall and rough seas. Aerial imagery shows significant cloud cover over Musandam and North Batinah, with the depression expected to move westward. This may impact the Dhofar coastline and result in varying rainfall intensities across Muscat, South Batinah, Dakhiliyah, and North Sharqiyah.

The National Committee for Emergency Management is closely monitoring the situation and has activated the National Emergency Situations Management to ensure preparedness across the affected regions. All relevant sectors and sub-committees in South Sharqiya, Al Wusta, Dhofar, Muscat, and North Sharqiya are on high alert to mitigate the impact of the weather and respond to any emergencies.

Safety First: Official Advice

Citizens and residents are urged to stay indoors and keep an eye on official updates regarding the weather and safety measures. Authorities stress that public safety is the top priority and recommend everyone take necessary precautions during this period of severe weather.
