Oman Installs Tallest Flagpole in Muscat for National Day

A new landmark is taking shape in Al Khuwair near the Ministries District, where construction of the tallest flagpole in Oman is well underway. Currently standing at 50 meters, an additional 76 meters will be built, bringing the total height to an impressive 126 meters. Once complete, the flagpole will become the centerpiece of an 18,000-square-meter development designed to combine business, leisure, and entertainment.

A New Community Space

The flagpole project is more than just a towering structure. Surrounding it will be a vibrant community hub featuring a plaza, large lawn areas, walking paths, a skate park, cycling tracks, and a cafeteria. Visitors can also look forward to various entertainment and sports facilities, making it a destination for families and locals alike.

Business and Leisure Combined

According to the project’s main contractor, Pacific Blue, the area will also include a business bay that will house a range of brands and companies. The development is poised to not only be a national icon but also a lively space offering a mix of professional, recreational, and wellness options.

As Oman prepares for National Day, this new addition to the capital promises to be a key attraction, reflecting both the nation's heritage and its forward-looking vision.
