Oman Mass Shooting: Attackers All Omani Citizens, Say Police

On Monday evening, a tragic shooting occurred at the Ali bin Abi Talib mosque in Wadi Al Kabir, near Muscat. The incident resulted in the deaths of at least nine people, including three attackers. Authorities reported that the casualties included four Pakistanis, an Indian, and a police officer. Additionally, 28 people from various nationalities were injured.

Attackers' Background

The Royal Oman Police revealed that the attackers were three Omani brothers. The police stated, "The gunmen were killed due to their insistence on resisting security personnel." Investigations suggested that the attackers were influenced by misguided ideas.
