Oman Opens Registration for Hajj Season in Two Days

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Oman has unveiled registration details for the upcoming Hajj season, opening online registration for citizens and residents aged 18 and older from November 4 to 17.

This year, Oman has secured a pilgrim quota of 14,000, offering eligible applicants a straightforward registration process via the official portal, hajj.om.

Applicants can register using a civil ID, personal card, or mobile number if equipped with an e-authentication system. Special provisions allow men aged 67 and older, women aged 65 and older, and individuals with visual or motor disabilities to be accompanied by a registered companion. Female applicants are required to designate a mahram, or close male relative, registered in the system.

The Ministry emphasizes that Hajj companies cannot intervene in the registration process, ensuring transparency for all applicants. Those selected for the pilgrimage will be notified after data verification, and confirmed pilgrims must then finalize their choice of Hajj company, complete medical checks (including COVID-19 vaccination), and pay required fees.

With the registration period just around the corner, the ministry encourages early applications to ensure a smooth and accessible process for all interested in embarking on this sacred pilgrimage.

Technical support will be available via the Ministry’s hotline, 80008008, during working hours, and questions can also be submitted through the Hajj portal. Late or incomplete applications, or those submitted outside the official platform, will not be accepted.
