Oman’s Ministry of Labour Opens Over 1,100 Job Vacancies

Oman’s Ministry of Labour (MoL) has announced 1,179 new job openings in various government units, catering to candidates with a range of educational backgrounds. While the majority of these roles are targeted at bachelor’s degree holders, there are also positions for those with post-general education diplomas and general education diplomas or below. Applications are open for two weeks from the date of announcement.

2023 Employment Milestones

The ministry emphasized its achievements in creating jobs, reporting that 65,310 individuals were hired this year across public and private sectors. These positions span multiple industries, reflecting MoL’s efforts to meet employment demands and support economic growth.

Digital Platforms for Job Matching

In a bid to modernize recruitment, MoL launched two digital platforms earlier this year: the Tawteen Platform and the Employment Applications System. Introduced in September, these tools aim to simplify the job search process and improve the responsiveness of the labor market. They also assist the Employment Governance Committee in analyzing workforce needs and increasing opportunities across Oman.

A Commitment to Workforce Development

Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Labour continues to prioritize job creation, enhance labor market efficiency, and contribute to Oman’s economic development.
